Slow Fade to Black:
a novel by
Gorman Bechard
INTRODUCTION:
SLOW
FADE TO BLACK: was a novel I wrote at about the same time I was working on my
book, BALLS. One obviously got
published, the other didn't. Personally,
I like this book better.
It's
a rather twisted mystery/thriller set in Hollywood.
There's sex, there's violence, there's name dropping, there's rock 'n'
roll. There's even a little magic
that'll make fans of THE SECOND GREATEST STORY EVER TOLD smile.
In
this book you'll meet film director John Maxwell and FBI agent Paige Turner, two
of my favorite characters. They'll
take you on a journey into the underbelly of the entertainment industry.
It's dark, but still you might want to close your eyes...
I
present this book to you on this website in 12 monthly installments, each equal
to about 25 to 30 pages in a regular hardcover book.
I've changed nothing since my last draft, dated October 25, 1994.
There are probably a number of typos, and even some things that seem
dated. Ignore them, and enjoy.
